Client Testimonials

"SilverRide is a wonderful service with positive people. I feel comfortable with the great customer service and all the drivers are polite and well-trained. I depend on their service to visit my husband weekly. When my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I wanted to place him where I felt he would feel like he was at home. Although he is 40 minutes away from me, it matters that he is happy. I am fortunate that I can take SilverRide weekly to visit him."

"Silver Ride is extraordinary; its managers are top notch people. They choose drivers who are careful, conscientious and best of all - caring. This is the one transportation service that never fails to do the best possible for those of us who choose not to drive, but do have places to be on time and really to excel."
— Ruth Spiegel

"I honestly feel this service is great! You always have friends that can help you, but you don't want to depend on them for everything. SilverRide has impacted my life in so many ways as it has given me the freedom to get things done."
— Jean Robinson

"The most valuable thing about SilverRide is the reliability. I don't have to worry about anything. I feel really comfortable."

"I don't know what we would have done without SilverRide; it has been a godsend. My dad was diagnosed with dementia in September, and I knew that losing his driver's license was going to happen quickly. Caroline from SilverRide met me at his apartment, and we laid out the serivce to him. Two weeks later, he lost his license and we seamlessly transitioned him into using SilverRide so there was virtually no disruption to his life. Dad's family doesn't have to worry about him having money to pay a driver, or anyone taking advantage of him. In fact, Dad loves the service, the drivers, it's like an extended family for him. Thank you SilverRide."

"Thank you SilverRide for providing my parents with such a lovely day on Friday. They had a GREAT time - they were like kids who had just returned from one of the best field trips ever. Special thanks to your driver who gave my mother a hat on Friday - very thoughtful. My mother is so pleased with her new hat. She was wearing it yesterday sitting out in the sun at Alma Via - quite happy. Thank you.
P.S. Needless to say they want to go on your next event!!!!!"

"For someone living about an hour away from my parents, SilverRide has been invaluable allowing them to visit me and my kids on a weekly basis. It has relieved stress all around - my parents always have an enjoyable experience with the driver and I rely on SilverRide's dependable service to get them here without a worry."

"I am the Vice President of Community Care Management at Institute on Aging in San Francisco. I am responsible for the administration of programs designed to maintain community living for frail seniors and disabled adults, including the Community Living Fund, a $7.5 million dollar program funded by the City and County of San Francisco designed to deinstitutionalize frail seniors and disabled adults and also to help keep them from premature institutionalization. When this grant opportunity arose, I immediately thought of SilverRide because they have developed an innovative and unique response to senior and disabled adults need for reliable and dignified transportation. We have used the SilverRide service since it was launched last year. SilverRide was proactive in approaching community programs before their official launch to ensure that the design of the service would meet the needs of our programs and our clients. Clients have benefitted greatly from their service and our agency has found them to be an excellent resource and key partner for transportation needs for a difficult to serve population. Besides the client benefit from the actual ride and accompaniment piece of their service, what we greatly value is their ability to manage the entire transportation process. This eases the burden considerably for the Care Management staff and enables them to focus on other issues to help achieve and maintain client stability. SilverRide and their travel concierges work out all the logistical issues related to getting our clients from their homes to their appointments on-time and back safely. We don't have to coordinate with multiple groups or depend on companies that are typically unreliable. SilverRide does an excellent job coordinating with clients and Care Managers to ensure timely service and also provides us with valuable feedback that helps us manage the client's ongoing needs even better. Adequate funding to improve their infrastructure and technical ability to increase transportation options for seniors would allow SilverRide to expand their service to include underserved populations. I believe SilverRide offers a unique response to an unmet need in our community that communities nationwide are facing. Institute on Aging looks forward to the continued opportunity to collaborate with SilverRide to further develop this new phase of their operations."

"This is a letter in support of using SilverRide for anyone working with a senior population. I work for the San Francisco Public Guardian's Office and have been using SilverRide for over a year now. Every transaction I have had with them has been positive. In a job where it is key to find vendors who are willing to go the extra mile to help elderly and disabled clients, SilverRide has been stellar in their willingness to work with any client. I particularly value the accessibility of the owner, Jeff Maltz. It is so reassuring to have his number on hand any time we require transportation services on very little notice (which is quite common), or when we need to discuss a special client who may need a little more supervision or help. I also appreciate receiving phone calls when a driver has noticed any change in a client's condition. They commonly alert me to things happening with the client that I may otherwise not know about. Having over 30 clients living anywhere from San Francisco to Modesto, it is incredibly helpful to have hired a vendor who can be an extra pair of eyes. Thirdly, one of the most amazing things about SilverRide is that they the drivers spend time getting to know your client. When I hire a homecare service, I am used to getting caregivers who spend most of their free time on their cell phone, and little to no time speaking with my client. SilverRide is the complete opposite. Many of our clients are quite lonely, but SilverRide takes the time to really get to know and care about the client. This is absolutely invaluable. The client is so happy that they can spend time with people who genuinely want to hear about their day. SilverRide tries to match up the drivers with clients with whom they may have things in common. The end result is a client who cannot wait until their next visit with SilverRide. Lastly, it is so convenient to deal with a vendor where any billing questions are solved quickly and easily, and you never have to worry about booking something with a credit card or dealing with a giant company that never gets back to you. It is very rare in my job that I can say that I have never had a bad experience with a vendor, but I can say that about SilverRide. Their customer service is truly a bright light in eldercare."

"Silver Ride has filled a huge gap in our community of senior care providers! They deliver everything they promise: punctual, attentive, friendly, caring and FUN driving service! We, at Home Instead have referred many Clients to Silver Ride and always get positive reviews. I referred a personal friend to Silver Ride after she had to give up her car. SR has enabled her to stay active and connected in the community. Maybe more important to me: she is safe and comfortable in their care. We are a richer community for their contribution."

"As both a gerontologist and a witness to the changes aging has and is bringing to my own parents, I am impassioned about the importance of providing intelligent and dignifying services for elders. When I met Jeff and Susan, the founders of Silver Ride, I knew they understood the concept. In SilverRide's passion for serving seniors and helping them remain active, the company has created signature events to combine transportation with social engagement - a no-brainer for some but a missing point for many. SilverRide is such an extremely valuable organization for senior care and demonstrates such depth of heart that when in need of a partner to provide services to our members, I did not hesitate to choose them from among all providers. Simply put - SilverRide rocks!"

"Dear Jeff, On behalf of the conservatorship program at the Jewish Family and Children's Services I want to express my gratitude to Silver Ride for the exemplary service you provided to our client over the last two weeks. This was an unusual circumstance in that our client desired daily rides to visit her husband who was dying in the hospital. Your staff, in particular, Deborah Welsh, was sensitive to the delicate situation. The level of care, commitment and professionalism your staff provided went above and beyond our expectations. Your team of drivers and office staff, especially Caroline were key components in meeting the needs of our client. The high quality service your business provided to our clients is aligned with our values and enabled us to coordinate their care smoothly. We look forward to continuing relationship between JFCS and Silver Ride."

"SilverRide is truly a godsend for our parishioners who want to come to St. James on Sunday morning but are no longer able to drive themselves. Always prompt, courteous, attentive and accommodating. I'm also on the board of the new San Francisco Village. We've been working with SilverRide to provide resources so that older adults can continue to live lives of meaning, purpose, inspiration and joy at home in our wonderful city."
